Dr. Tarlan Hedayati
Associate Professor and Chair of Education in the Department of Emergency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. She organizes the curriculum and educational activities for the 68 residents in the EM residency training program, oversees the medical student clerkships, integrates Ultrasound and Simulation education into the curriculum, and creates and overseas academic advising plans for the residents. She is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker and expert in Cardiac Emergencies, Critical Care, Resuscitation, and Medical Education. She received the 2023 American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) National Emergency Medicine Faculty Teaching Award and was named the 2019-20 Outstanding Speaker of the Year by ACEP. She has written and done editorial work for numerous emergency medicine textbooks and has been published in several journals, including Cardiology Clinics, Journal of Emergency Medicine, Academic Emergency Medicine, and NEJM.
